| 26 October 2008 | Taos has been adopted, and shares his home with Sandia! |
| 12 September 2008 | Taos is available for adoption! (CO) |
| 28 August 2008 | Taos has very much fully recovered from his surgery and is eager for walks and play. We hope to get him out to places with more people and traffic in the coming weeks, but he does seem to be quite unafraid of any of it. (CO) |
| 11 August 2008 | Taos is completely recovered from his neutering surgery and back to keeping up with Sandia (well almost) on walks! He is always up for play and loves to look for and chase rabbits - you need a good grip on the lead with this guy. He is sweet and affectionate and often starts play with me when we are out on walks. (CO)

| 2 August 2008 | Taos was neutered on Friday and is recovering nicely. Up to then, he was one of the two strongest on the walks going for 40 minute walks at sunrise and sunset. He is not as good at spotting the rabbits as Sandia, but he sees some and is just nuts thinking about chasing them. He is the most energetic of the young ones - he wears O'Keefe and Joy out. He is a little less energetic since his surgery but should be back on the lengthy walks by mid-week or so. While he is not as openly affectionate as O'Keefe he is definitely an affection seeker. On walks he has been pretty good about strange objects and even loud cement trucks - though with those he puts me between them and him! This is a smart young guy with a nice energy level who could adjust to an active family and other dogs fairly quickly. (CO) |
| 27 July 2008 | Taos got his rabies and was heartworm negative today. He, like the three others, was a very good boy for the vet. He was a happy go lucky afghan today playing with toys and having fun. He is a very eager walker! (CO)

| 26 July 2008 | Taos was bathed and groomed yesterday and we finished up on him today. We had to shave underneath he was matted to the skin, but he looks like a full coated adolescent male. He - like all of 6 others - stood, sat, and laid down on the table quietly while he was groomed. He is a sweet and is approaching us more and enjoying the play yard and walks (he has appears to really enjoy those!). Today cars passed us on the dirt road and a neighbor came out. Taos was ok with both and went up to greet the neighbor (CO)

| 24 July 2008 | Taos loves his walks - his head and tail up and he is on the lookout for bunnies. He is a little less people oriented than O'Keefe but he definitely wants affection just a bit more reserved. He is having fun in the play yard with the other two young ones and both he and O'Keefe go very eagerly to greet Bob, Charlotte's husband who has been just hanging out being a guy with them. There go any concerns on whether they had exposure to men! |
| 22 July 2008 | Taos, just like the other male arriving in Tucson, has coat that it is in fairly good condition with none of the matted excrement seen in the bitches coat. While timid at first, it is clear that he received and likes attention. He is warming to his new circumstances and is lovely sweet boy. He will be groomed after the more pressing coat problems are done, but we believe we can keep his coat. He has gone for his first walk and though progress was made - well more progress will be necessary, but not bad for not understanding the concept! His desire to be near humans is obvious he should do very well. (CO) |
