Mosso is thrilled to bring (via Jorogz' Tar Baby) the Mecca's Falstaff x Jaffna's Rachel crosses into the pedigree. This breeding also has 4 crosses to Taco.

Arnold was a powerful mover - Mosso hopes the puppies will inherit this and other fine qualities from both sire and dam.

We have 1 girl (color: dark blue) and 1 boy (color: dark blue) available to permanent, approved homes on a reasonable sales contract. Current on vaccinations & deworming, permanently identified, started on Lure-toy, introduced to cats/dogs/children/men/women and a variety of noise, machines & vehicles! Diet of several different grain free kibbles, as well as a fresh diet of raw, meaty bones with organ meats & other goodies.

This is DAISY

Daisy is available to a pet or performance home - she is the first to do everything, very outgoing, and smart !

Daisy needs an active owner/family or an active exhibitor (dog sports) - she LOVED being put on the lure !

Daisy has a LOT of personality, as you can see here - yet is very sensible and has great intellect

We know she understands English, but she doesn't yet speak it (though she does try)

We think Daisy is a "scented" Afghan Hound (like her momma Tova)

Daisy seeks someone with a MENSA membership (ha ha!)

Daisy is not heavily coated, and will likely have proper silky coat texture

This is Wally

Wally is *very* intelligent, and has started clicker-training (including: come, sit, back, touch, tap it )

Wally enjoys watching nature shows and Baseball on TV (also the Food Network!)

He is available to a performance home or to a show home which is interested in dabbling in Agility or Obedience

(This is an Afghan Hound who needs to exercise his mind)

He is an excellent Agility prospect and enjoys "working" for food and doing things

He also LOVES his tennis ball, and likes to carry toys around

Wally had a bone break in his tail, the splint is off, and it is starting to curve/curl nicely

His coat is silky, and we believe it will be an easy texture to care for

A note on "Health Screenings":

If a breeder tells you they did a test, but didn't register the results, insist on seeing the radiograph, lab sheet, or exam sheet. Unfortunately, unethical individuals make use of this excuse to avoid doing health checks, but to get "credit" for doing them (puppy sales). Don't fall for it. If an ethical person performed a health check, they will be willing to show you the proof.

*CERF "CLEAR" is not an official CERF term but is a generally accepted way to indicate the dog has a CERF number with NO "Breeder Option" Notations. Dogs that have CERF numbers with "Breeder Option" Notations HAVE passed their eye exams, but do not fit the generally accepted use of the term "CLEAR". If in doubt, check the CERF database at www.vmdb.org and the OFA database at www.offa.org Afghan Hounds do not yet have a genetic test to rule out carrier/affected states in regard to PRA (progressive retinal atrophy) or JC (heritable cataracts).

Thyroid Normal (normal TSH, T4 and absence of thyroglobulin autoantibodies at time of testing) refers to screening for Auto-Immune Thyroiditis. See the OFA database for an explanation of Thyroid as well as the orthopedic clearances. Talk to your veterinarian. Afghan Hounds do not have a genetic test to rule out heritable thyroid disorders, nor any other heritable disorders. Dogs with Auto-Immune diseases (or Immune Mediated diseases) may or may not have inherited them, and may or may not pass them on (eg, it is now well known that Ehrlichia canis, a tick borne bacterial infection, can cause Auto Immune Hemolytic Anemia aka Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). We're sure to learn much more about the immune system of dogs (and humans) in the coming years!.
