Mac is approx 2 - 3 yrs old, 24 inches at the shoulder and 46 lbs.
He is heartworm and lyme negative. He has hookworms, dermatitis and bacteria (cocci) and yeast infections in his ears.
Mac is a dream boat. Loves to be outside and is more comfortable there. Inside he mostly stays in his crate taking in everything that is going on. He loves hugs and kisses and chasing me in the yard. I love this very handsome boy!

MacDreamy is really a sweetheart...he loves playing with the fellow-foster Afghan Hound Cali, a little puppy bitch. Very gentle and playful!

Mac was neutered, and had his ears flushed. Tresaderm (ear) treatment continues for another 2 weeks. He was very scared at the vets office, and VERY happy to be back to his foster home. This boy is SWEET! Came through the procedures just fine! (Feb 9, 2007)

MacDreamy is doing great! The blood blisters from his neuter stitches are gone. Mac finally was healthy enough to have his 1st parvo/distemper vaccine last week.
Mac plays constantly with his foster sister and is running faster everyday. Mac is house and crate trained, but doesn't get into trouble when not in his crate. Mac will sit for a liver treat and loves getting his belly rubbed.
Mac is excellent when getting a bath and likes to be groomed. It's a game of "get the brush" at times.
He likes to go for rides and walks but gets very scared when he sees people. He will not approach a stranger, and is still very uncomfortable when friends visit.
Mac is the perfect house guest and dreams of a home he can call his own. (3/24/2007)

Mac's foster home worked very hard to counter Mac's fear when introduced to strangers in or outside the home. Many thanks to Dr. Reinisch for her assistance! Working together, Mac was able to be adopted into an Afghan Hound-experienced home. Mac enjoys his travels about town with his new owners! (11/2007)
