update 7/11/2007

Here are the Afghan Hounds removed from a puppy mill in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.  There were pairs and trios of other breeds on site, but there were more Afghan Hounds than any other breed, though no Afghan Hound over the age of 6, apparently.

It is unknown why so many Afghan Hounds compared to the other breeds.  The Afghan Hound is a high-maintenance breed that will run away at the drop of a hat (and requires a fenced-yard).

Afghan Hounds are not an "in-demand" breed, though there are, of course, dedicated fanciers who adore the breed, despite the coat care and husbandry requirements.

Please click on each dog's photo, for information and updates.
